Entry Level A+ Technician (Honolulu Hawaii)
Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:We is currently seeking a professional individual is detailed oriented and good communication and troubleshooting skills are a must. This is an entry level position where the individual is responsible for reloading users workstations and servers, basic hardware troubleshooting, virus removal and imaging. This is a full-time hourly position however applicant must also be able to accommodate working outside of standard business hours with approved overtime.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manufacturing and repair of workstations and servers
• Packaging and shipping various I.T. related items
• Operating system loads (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 - 2008R2)
• Maintain organization and inventory of manufacturing department
• Submit daily reports to direct supervisor via e-mail
• Troubleshoot systems that are not operational, determine source of problem and resolve
• Work with private vendors to resolve technical problems
• Upgrade firmware, software and hardware on workstations/servers
• Occasional travel to clients sites with mileage reimbursement
• Report daily via email to supervising manager
• Complete billing and work logs in a timely manner
• Manage calls and perform follow-up calls as necessary
• Meet customer expectations of excellent service
REQUIREMENTS:
• A+ certification required, Network+ certification is a plus
• 1+ years required work experience in hardware troubleshooting
• Must be neat and detail-oriented, friendly, customer service oriented and punctual
• Must be able to work and research independently and with minimal supervision
• Must be able to communicate well with both peers and clients
• Must have a car and provide own transportation to and from client sites
COMPENSATION:
Salary is negotiable and based on level of experience, education, and certifications. Applicants may be put on a 3 month probationary period. We will provide medical, vision and dental benefits as well as a voluntary 401k program.
